Irish Rain - Ah It’s Summer
Well summer has been with us for a while, and I’ve just put the heating back on!
Irish summers happen in May. Yes, truth be told that is about it, for the rest of the summer it mostly just rains, well that is what it feels like - I know it is not true as I am one of the mad ones that are out walking in the hills whenever I can, and I don’t like that in the rain.
But here it feels like it has been raining all this week - what happened to those long warm summers I enjoyed as a child - rose tinted specs one thinks.
So one other question about the rain, why does it alway rain more at the weekends? Yes, it does feel like that doesn’t it. Here in Ireland we have so many conversations about the weather, it is a national obsession.

Anyway I’m away to dig out the brolly and get a walk in the freshness left by the rain.
