Half Blind - I Don’t Thnk So
I hurt my eye in the middle of the night while sleeping. Odd thing to do I think, but the pain woke me at 5am - that was no fun. So called an emergency doctor for the second time in my life, and he came out and mis-diagnosed me. Fun, eh.
I went to the pharmacy and she said if it is still sore in a few hours you should really go to the hospital - It was and I did. No infection, but I had managed to scratch my eye in the middle of the night. So as you can see the patch, I am back there this morning, and hopefully all will be well again - as this is driving me nuts already.
I normally use reading glasses - they don’t fit over this. I walked to the shop yesterday, it is amazing how much I miss just being able to use one eye, and how much it slows me down having to turn my head right around to see everything.
People though see me coming and get out of my way, very nice of them. When I went to the pharmacy I was still in a fair amount of pain, and they got me a seat to sit on - very nice, but oh my god I start to feel a bit helpless and that is crazy making.
I have been knocking things over in the house, as my perspective is not great, I notice how much my brain misses the other information that it would normally get.
I. like most people, don’t do not being well. This will drive me nuts, one time I had a sore back and I was fine - I lay on the couch and had the laptop on my body and was able to work away quite fine, not being able to see is a different matter altogether. I can’t read for any amount of time, and I have the books stacked up just now - quite a few good ones - last night I decided that I would format my laptop and that was fine - not a lot of typing in that, then I reloaded wamp as I am learning php, and that was fine until I started to try and write code - at that point I gave up.
Anyway back to the hospital now to see the next step - hopefully all will be fine. Oh, and they were great in the hospital the first time - no waiting, which is quite something - I must have looked bad.
And if you notice any spelling mistakes or such today - give me a break.
