So the next two weeks I am having some time off work and staying away from the office. Life has been quite busy for the last year and I am tired. The tiredness is partly down to work and not making time for myself and looking after myself and partly down to UC which has been giving some problems again this year.
I started doing some training courses at the start of the year and that has taken off great, I had planned on my time off starting today, but I ended up doing an SEO course today for a Dublin make up school. The reason I mention this is preconceptions, mine and most peoples.
My Preconceptions
I expected it to be a very tough day, I thought before meeting them I would be dealing with a “bunch of hairdressers” who would have no idea about the internet. I was wondering how far back I would have to start. However I was pleasantly surprised to have a group of eager students who already had a good bit of knowledge about search engine optimisation – more than most who come on my courses – those dam preconceptions…
Last weekend I spent in Kilkenny and never saw any of the town, not the castle, not anything outside of the hotel. I was there for a convention, I am not great at going to these things as I have this picture of myself of not being terribly sociable, interesting picture most of my friends would think.
I was one of the sponsors for the weekend so I felt it would be a good idea to turn up. It was great and I enjoyed it – and I was very sociable…
