This was the first place we stayed in the Rockies, Banff is one of the most expensive places in Canada to stay, more expensive than a bloody good hotel in Vancouver – this surprised me. I thought we would head into the countryside and hotels would be cheaper and the areas would be quite quiet. Not so.
The first hotel we stayed in was horrible – we had booked on the internet – the bed ran into the middle, so we booked into the Banff Inn it was great and we stayed there for 4 nights $189 per night – so not cheap – but given the costs in this little town very reasonable.
It is a very beautiful little town, well worth a visit.
