Car Crash, Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland

by Leslie on June 30, 2007

Car Crash, Ballsbridge, Dublin IrelandWe had just entered the house and heard the bang.  I picked up the phone, I knew the sound, I have heard cars crash before.  And living in Dublin it is not unusual.

I have written before about bloody Irish driving, it is utter crap.  The driving is selfish and careless, and I mean could not care less about anyone else.  Drivers drive too fast, constantly go through red lights, use their cars to bully cyclist and pedestrians.

Car Crash, Ballsbridge, Dublin IrelandWell tonight there are two less drivers on the road.  One less taxi.  And a higher cost to everyone’s insurance.

However, the many people that are not talked about are the families.  The families of dead drivers, pedestrians, passengers, children.  One of these cars ended up on the pavement.  I had just crossed at the opposite side on my way home two minutes before this happened.

I am angry writing this – it has just happened.  I often think about bloody Irish driving and what can be done.
