Christmas In Dublin

christmasindublin Christmas In DublinWell it has suddenly turned cold enough to make me realise that it is winter.  Thanks for hats and gloves it is great to be out walking in weather that is clear and fresh.

However it looks like Christmas has also arrived.  I am a bit late with this post because the Christmas decorations have already been with us for 3/4 weeks – a long time before the event.

I do however love the atmosphere leading up to Christmas, eating out, buying Christmas presents – it is all a welcome break mid-winter, what the pagans wanted I am sure when they had feasts at this time of the year – before it was hijacked by Christians, as are so many other dates in the calendar.

Anyway this is Grafton Street Dublin this Christmas – it is beautiful.
