Dublin sucks. I've been living here for 1 year and a half, waiting for my husband to finish his work experience. There is nothing to see, to do, if you don't like beer you are lost, the food is crap and so expensive and it's so noisy. Even in the countryside, where we live, every night there is a new noise because let's say it the apartments in dublin are made so badly that you can hear everything from every other apartment. I can only hope to leave as fast as I can. sorry to say that but that's how I see this city.

Yes the Irish know how to advertise their country as a friendly place that it's not. They know after that how to hide their problems within their borders as Scotland can't. I feel pity for that small conservative country. I was living in Edinburgh and everyone was extremelly friends, sometimes annoyningly... here in Dublin I dont really know even my neighbors... It's dirty, unkept, not less junkies than Glasgow. From all the places I visited this is my less favourite,

Privleged? I have been in Dublin for 4 months now and it has been the most miserable time of my life. Ignoring the weather, the lack of jobs, the fact that everything is over priced lets look at the people!!! They have nothing interesting to say accept that the weather is bad and the price of everything is too much. Occasionally it is broken up by saying they miss Bondi Beach downunder!!!

Furthermore the people are in general racist as they have only recently had immigrants come to their country, the transport system is falling apart and the saying 'Guiness tastes better in Ireland' is a load of crap, as the beer is watered down and has the sting of paying 3 times as much as you would anywhere else in Europe.

Also why is it that there is vomit on dog excement on the footpath when there is a grass patch 30 cm away? THis is not just a one off thing but a common occurance.

And now that the rest of Europe is not fully financing your economy your 'celtic tiger' has left town. Of course the Irish would not accept blame for being reliant on other countries to prop up its economy.....no instead they blame the Polish....who seem to work harder then the average Irishman.

A third world country with astronomical prices!!! What a deal!!!
