Edinburgh were comprehensively slaughtered at the RDS tonight by a Leinster team that walked all over the Scottish visitors.
I was on the edge of my seat hoping that one of my home teams could come here to Dublin and take on Leinster in their home ground.
After about 20 minutes Leinster scored for their first try and it was down hill from that point on.
Just after the start of the first half Edinburgh had a chance to run a penalty at Leinster – but they bottled out opted for a kick and missed. They did not score again. Even to kick the ball at touch and have a throw in just on the Leinsetr line would have been a better strategy. But no they went for the safe option, the cowardly option.
There is nothing unfair about the end score – it was a one sided match. Edinburgh need to home and have a good rethink – and grow themselves some guts.
