Where is Prague?
I was asked the other day “Where is Prague?” I must admit I was surprised by the question - I am back and forward to Prague quite often as that is where Anna is from and where we will end up living sometime in the next few years. Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, which in in Central Europe - you know right beside Germany, heard of that?
I don’t know a lot of things and I expect something as simple as where Prague is to be known by everyone - however I got to thinking. I am not very knowledgeable about the US. I know I hate a lot of their extremisms and their current President, and their bullying stance towards the rest of the world - however when it come to the geography of that country I simply have no idea - I would have to refer to a map to have any idea where Dakota is for instance.
Anyway I am doing my best to avoid any more trips to Prague and the Czech Republic for the rest of this year. Unfortunately when we go there we have little time and too many people to see and too much to do - that does not make for a relaxing time. I have spent so much time in the Czech Republic and have seen so little if it - kinda disappoints me, however that will change once we are there.
Would you believe it is also not great weather there yet either - today 17 degrees and showers, better than this 14 degrees in Dublin, cloudy and threatening rain. I want to go walking and I am just too much of a fair weather hiker - I have all the rain gear, just the thoughts of getting wet keep me here writing spewing my thoughts out onto the world.
Anyway enough - since I have been talking about Prague, here is a photo from our last trip a few weeks back. the photo is of the edge of Charles Bridge at the Old Town end. You really have to see it all in person.
