Where is Providencia Island?

Tweet The island of Providencia lies in the Caribbean about midway between Costa Rica and Jamaica. Originally established in the 1600’s as an English Puritan colony, the Providencia island is now part of Colombia. Formed by ancient volcanic eruptions, the island is very mountainous and the interior is full of beautiful green forests.
