Vanity Rules

by Leslie on November 1, 2007

Vanity something that I don’t consider is a problem for me passed through my mind this morning. I looked in the mirror as I would most mornings and saw a white hair in my eyebrow. Out it came immediately.

Somethings get me and others don’t. I have never been a clothes horse, but I do like stuff that is very comfortable and lasts a long time – maybe because I hate shopping so much. I like things around me to be clean and organised.

However I am not the least bit bothered when someone spills something in my house, I just clean it up.

I like very good computer kit and software, as I like to make my time productive. I generally hate TV, though I still watch it – usually when I am feeling lazy, and I often come away from it feeling unfulfilled.

But back to vanity – vanity is the excessive belief in one’s own abilities or attractiveness to others. My god sometimes I wish I did have this “problem” – I question my own abilities far too much, so thank god for my girlfriend, my friends, and my Dad – they all help when I am having one of those days when I question the point of everything, my direction in life, and how able I am to accomplish the things that I set out to do.

Generally I love life and I appreciate how fortunate I am. I am lucky.
